About Me
Thank you for stopping by my website! I am a singer songwriter, who enjoys performing the music that I heard in my childhood. My father listened to country music, while my older sisters listened to pop and rock. I grew up in church singing hymns and gospel songs. I love the music of that era, it truly does bring back many great memories!
I began playing the guitar at the age of 12, and I have been playing and singing ever since. For many years, I traveled with my wife and children performing in churches across the country.
I am now a senior citizen myself, and I enjoy performing music in senior communities. I provide an hour program, filled with singing, as well as some stories sprinkled in. I try to do songs that provide my audience with some pleasant memories of years gone by. I endeavor to provide a variety, of fast, and slow songs from the country, oldies, and gospel genres. From songs such as “Grandma’s Feather Bed”, “Country Roads“, and “Thank God I’m a Country Boy“, by John Denver, to “Sing Me Back Home” by Merle Haggard, to “Somewhere Over the Rainbow” by Judy Garland, to “Because He Lives” by Bill Gaither, just to name a few. I desire to do as many songs as possible that my audience will know well enough to join in. I desire to bring encouragement and joy in the experience.
I use a small self contained sound system, an acoustic guitar for most songs, as well as sound tracks for a few of my selections. I generally do one or two originals in my set.
If I have never performed at your facility, I am offering a free one hour introductory show.
If your residents enjoy the experience, and you would like to schedule me again, my normal rate is $100 per one hour show.
